parenting manuals

Did you happen to get a copy of the Parenting Instruction Manual? I didn’t get one and I could use it!…?
Please tell me your challenging moments as a parent so I don’t feel like I’m the only one who just does not know how to fix all situations with the best possible outcome!? I didn’t get the “How To” Book, or a magic wand!
lol…i wish i had one of those too TRUST ME…and it doesnt help that those little people have no interest in what you have to say they just like to do things on their own!
Lets see ive had so many but the one that comes to mind was actually an incident that happened 3 days ago.
I had taken my 2 year old(yes he has been terrible since he was 1) lol…i had taken him to the store with me to get some groceries so that i could make him lunch…and because of the fact that he was hungry and i was running late as usual(which made us both cranky) i had forgotten his binky(pacifier) and i usually take it with me just in case he does get fussy in a public place i can just give him something to make him stop…well anways we were going down the cookie isle(my mistake) when he spotted his favorites(animal crackers)…go figure…so he immediately starts getting excited because he wants them and of course me being the bad guy I say no….well this obviously was not the answer he wanted to hear and so what does he do…haha…he screams at the top of his lungs..and this mind you, is not an ordinary whine like i want my lunch….oh no this kid went postal and screamed bloody murder like someone was stabbing him through the heart because he couldnt have his cookies….now i try giving him his binkie…nope doesnt want it…still screaming…try calming him down by going down another isle for the food that i actually needed…nope still screaming….then i actually begin to get frustrated because at this point the entire store is listening to my child throw a fit…..(still screaming)….and to make matters worse i actually have this old lady come up to my kid and try and calm him down…haha….(and im thinking to myself…really lady…if i cant get my own child to calm down you think hes gonna calm down for some old lady who he doesnt even know?) although nothing she did helped…i still thanked her for trying….so he is still throwing a fit….and everyone that i was in line with was looking at me like i was the worst parent on the planet because i wouldnt give my kid what he wanted…finally after an agonizing 5 min in line with him still screaming(man my kid has lungs)….i get out into the parking lot….(keep something in mind my child loves little hot wheels….i buy at least a pack of cars every 2 weeks because he likes them so much)…we are out in the parking lot i get everything in the car including him and then i realize that i had his toy car in my poket…i pull it out and omg…was like the heavens opened up and began singing praises…what does my kid do…low and behold…he stops crying…WOW…i was to the point where i almost wanted to cry…..all i had to to do was give my kid the one thing he loves and i completely forgot i had it…
bad day as a parent…..but now that i look at it i laugh because it was as simple as giving him something he really liked… glad that day was over…and i def. learned my lesson…never again will i leave my house without a hot wheels car…lol…
