My Boyfriend is being sent to a group home, can I visit him?

My boyfriend is being sent by a social worker to i think a group home. He had foster parents but we were caught drinking and he’s being sent away. He lives in Rhode Island. Will I be able to visit him all the time? Can I call him, bring him food, write letters? He will only be there for four months until he turns eighteen in Oct. What should I expect?

You can ask his social worker about this. You might be not to see him, but you can (I think) still send him letters, no food.
