Is there a way I can get a girls parents to let me date there daughter even though I am not Hmong?
I know that in the Hmong culture most of the the daughter is only allowed to date a Hmong. Is there a way I can persuade the parents to let me try even though I am not Hmong?
Good luck my friend… but from my experiences with the Hmong culture, they seem to be a very traditional people that stick to their roots. There really is nothing you can do about it. If they already made up their mind about having a Hmong son-in-law then your chances are slim. The only thing you can do is respect her parents and the Hmong culture and don’t give up. If they see how persistent you are even though they have told you they don’t approve, then maybe one day they will realize you are good enough for their daughter. The second option is runaway with your girl.
