new parenting tips
Any advice for a soon to be new father?
Our baby boy is due in a month, and I was wondering if any fathers out there have advice on general parenting, tips for a new born and anything you wish you knew before your first child was born.

Congratulations … I’m not a dad but a mum so I can tell u how u could make it a bit easier on ur wife/girlfriend.
If she’s not breastfeeding help with making and cleaning bottles is fundemental.
If she’s breastfeeding the first 6 weeks she will feel very sore and it would be nice if u got up for her to get the baby. Always make sure she has a drink and something to eat next to her.
I coosleep with my child but even though is very enjoyable I would not reccomend it. When u are exhausted u or ur partner could roll over him or overheat him. It will be harder to make them sleep in their own cot once they get used to sleeping with u. When ur partner is ready u may wanna get intimate and the baby in the bed is a real turn off.
After a woman has a baby she may feel very weepy and overwhelmed. So take over nappy changing if u can and bath time. A messy house could upset her so just clean up abit. It doesnt have to be spotless.
Newborn nappies dont really smell that bad. Its ur baby u wont even care.
Sing to the baby lullybies to put him to sleep.
keep at home some infacol for colics
Buy some Ashton and Parsons teething powder for when he starts teething.
Be supportive at all times even if it can get frustrating if u work full time. The first few months are hard work but it gets easier as the baby gets older.
Give ur wife/girlfriend me time to have a bath and make herself feel better
