parenting your anxious child

parenting your anxious child
Is this a good foster parent?

Bringing kids into your home that YOU know arent a good fit but your anxious for children and you wanna HELP? Numerous timez my gf has brought home kids that were to young or in multiples which everytime ended up with the kid going to another home.
I understand she wants to be a mother but if so then why not foster a younger child and just be patient.
I think it does no good for both parties child and care giver when it doesnt work out in the end.
What about you?

As a former foster child…..

Every time you let a child into your home and they go back…they feel failure once again. Once again they had hope for a FOREVER home and once again (they feel) they were not good enough.

Do you know how horrible it is to feel that once? It is the worst thing in the world. Even once.

I ended up in an adoptive home finally when I was 8. I can’t tell you how many moms my brother, my sister and I have had. In the end, we were seperated.
My adoptive parents then disowned me for getting pregnant at 17 with a black baby. So they started on the hunt again. So far as I know…they have sent over 6 children back. Wished one dead in Iraq and disowned him as well. So far.
