In the last month, the annual Toy Fair in the world, LEGO has unveiled the next wave of releases in their popular Star Wars line. Due to release in August 2010, LEGO is a mixture of old and new with brand new games and reissues of the original trilogy, the prequels and the Clone Wars.
One of the main draws of any new Star Wars series is the new figures and this wave does not disappoint. With new sculpt of Boba Fett (with color combination truest blue), Han Solo in Carbonite and General Grievous ago unpublished figures Aali Secura, Empire Strikes Back Bounty Hunter Bossk and Clone Wars villain Cad Bane.
The sets are also a mixture of models new and old. As usual, the emphasis is on vehicles, but the addition of a play set will also appeal to fans.
With 297 rooms, model 8089, the Hoth Wampa combines the new face of the powerful Wampa with an overhaul of the Snowspeeder. This is the third interpretation the Snowspeeder, it has already been published twice in standalone fixed and once in another room Hoth together. The Wampa Hoth set also comes Luke Skywalker in Hoth gear (ready to be hung in the freezer of meat from the Wampa) and a pilot Snowspeeder and retail for $ 39.99.
