Does anyone know the difference between Kindermusik and Musikgarten?
And also, Music Together? We have all three offered in my area, and I would like to know from those who have experienced the classes–what goes on during class? I am considering taking the parent-child class with my soon-to-be toddler. Thanks
We do Kindermusik, which is offered from newborn to age 7.
The teacher sings almost the whole time, and our class is 45 minutes long. You get an “instrument” (ie toy) and a CD for each session (about 7 weeks long), and you sing the songs that are on that session’s CD.
You learn how to incorporate singing into every day life how it helps get through daily activities like meals, bedtime, diaper changes, etc.
The teacher talks a bit how music helps the child’s brain development, and how to bring exercises home that help stimulate imagination, rhythm and general development.
In the actual class there is music, dancing, singing, playing with instruments, etc.
We love it!
